Since 2017, Gunther Werks has been showcasing their innovative take on Porsche’s iconic 993 at The Quail. This year’s highlight is the 993 GWR, a masterful remaster that embodies the lightest and most elemental version of the 993.

Under the classic ducktail atop the engine lid lies a 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated, DOHC flat-six engine that delivers a robust 500 hp and revs up to 9,000 rpm, placing it in the realm of modern GT3 performance. The engine’s appearance is described as looking like “giant jewelry,” showcasing Gunther Werks' commitment to both function and aesthetics.

Weighing in at just 2,400 pounds, the GWR is the lightest creation from Gunther Werks to date. Each vehicle is built to the buyer’s specifications at their Huntington Beach, California factory, with production limited to 25 examples.
